John George Murray was a native of Newcastle and served in France & Flanders from 19 August 1914. He was Mustard gassed in late 1917 having earned his decoration and was killed in action on 2 September 1918. He is buried in the Achiet-Le-Grand Communal Cemetery Extension, France. He is further entitled to a 1914 Star Trio with clasp.
