Clement Arch was born at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, on 9 September 1898. He enlisted into the Royal Navy on 28 November 1915 as a Boy II. He spent the majority of his Great War service serving on Repulse. He received his L.S. & G.C. medal in November 1931.
