Pair: Sergeant E. Leech, Royal Air Force, who was 'mentioned' in 1946

Defence and War Medals 1939-45, with M.I.D. oak leaf, sold together with their named and addressed box of issue and a small archive of named documentation, good very fine (2)

Edwin Leech was born at Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire on 209 October 1914, the son of Reuben and Mary Leech. He was still living with them at Stalybridge, Cheshire in 1939 when the Second World War began, enlisting with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve with the number 1122456 and served until the end of the war, being engaged during hostilities in 1942. He died at Oldham, Manchester in 1977; sold together with copied research and small archive comprising:

i)
M.I.D. certificate, including named and addressed envelope and forwarding slip.

ii)
Active Service bible.

iii)
Three telegrams congratulating the recipient on his engagement.
