William Charles Kimberly Ford was born at Croydon, Surrey on 1 February 1900 and enlisted with the Royal Marines on 9 January 1918. Posted to the Chatham Division in August 1918 Ford was posted to Perth in October until the end of the war.
Ford continued to serve for some time, being stationed with Diomede from October 1930 - July 1933 when awarded his L.S. & G.C. He served in Palestine at some point during Arab Revolt between 1936-39, during this time he was stationed with Sussex, Vindictive and Dragon. Ford was discharged on 31 January 1939 but returned to service in November 1943.
Posted again to Chatham Division he was transferred to Plymouth Division in December that same year. Returning to the Chatham Division Ford was invalided on 27 December 1944, settling at Whitstable, Kent where he died on 22 May 1979; sold together with copied research.
