Stanley Owen Jones was born at Oswestry, Shropshire in April 1896, the son of John and Eliza Jones and was serving the Territorial Force on the outbreak of the Great War. Jones entered the war with the 4th Battalion and was serving with them in 1918. There he was killed in action on 19 April 1918 during the final actions of the Palestine campaign; sold together with copied research.
