George Alfred Wooster was born at Edmonton, Middlesex and was the son of William and Emma Wooster, of Edmonton, London, and husband of E. J. Wooster, of 52, Sandringham Rd., Watford. He originally enlisted into the Army Service Corps at Watford and first served overseas in France from 13 August 1915. Wooster died of wounds on 27 March 1918 whilst serving as a Rifleman (Acting Corporal) in the 18th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps and is buried in the St.Hilaire Cemetery, Frevent, France.
