Not many Signals units took part in this campaign, amongst those were: Headquarters British Forces Arabian Peninsula (Independent) Signal Squadron who on 1 September 1959 were renamed 222 Signal Squadron (Air Formation); Trucial Oman Scouts Signal Squadron and 264 S.A.S. Signal Squadron.
