George Hammond was born at Finchley, Middlesex in 1869 and entered the war with the Royal Engineers on 17 September 1915 before being discharged due to age on 2 June 1916.

Ernest Henry Jones was born in 1886 and lived at 19 Argyl Terrace, Bath prior to enlisting in July 1915 with the Wessex Division, Royal Engineers. Later approved as a Fitter with the 500th (Wessex), Field Company in January 1918, he was eventually demobilised on 22 May 1919.

William Jones entered the war in France on 10 July 1915 with the 91st Field Company, Royal Engineers before joining the Royal Air Force with the service number 134388.
