Andrew B. Anderson, of Glasgow, was born in 1876 and attested for military service with the 18th Company (Queen's Own Royal Glasgow and Lower Ward of Lanark) Imperial Yeomanry on 9 January 1900. He is confirmed upon the Medal rolls with correct entitlement to these four clasps.
Sold together with a contemporary miniature Queen's South Africa Medal, silver, clasps corresponding to the full-size award, and a King's South Africa Medal, silver, mounted together as a pair (there is no evidence Anderson was entitled to the latter); also an unrelated Defence Medal 1939-45 and corresponding miniature, both mounted for wear.
