Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Suakin 1885 (343. Pte. F. Phillips. 1/Shrops: L.I.), contact marks, minor edge knock, very fine

F. Phillips is confirmed upon the roll with entitlement to this medal and clasp, as well as a Khedive's Star. He served in the Egypt and Sudan campaign as a Private in the 1st Battalion, Shropshire Light Infantry. His name appears on the Regimental Memorial as having died during the Suakin Campaign, but it is unknown if he was killed in action or if he died of wounds or disease. He is also noted on the roll as 'dead'; sold together with copied research.
