(x) Abyssinia 1867 (3842 J. Barradale 33rd D.W.Regt.), light pitting, very fine

Joseph Barradale was confirmed as having been stationed at Deesa, India in 1861. He was later to served in Abyssinia where the men of the 33rd Foot formed part of the storming party for Magdala. Two of their number Private Bergin and Drummer Magner were awarded the Victoria Cross for their role in storming the Kukitber Gate; sold together with copied research.
