Jeremiah Sullivan was born in circa in Kenmare, County Kerry in Ireland. He served as a Corporal with the 103rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Bombay Fusiliers) for around 20 years between 1847 - 1866. He spent 13 years abroad in India and was further entitled to four good conduct badges and an Indian Mutiny Medal.
