France, Order of Saint Hubert, neck Badge, gilt and enamel, 62mm x 54mm, slight crack to enamel on one reverse panel, otherwise very fine

The Order of Saint Hubert was established in 1416 by the Duchy of Bar lord's council. When the Duchy of Bar was later incorporated into the Kingdom of France, the Order continued to be recognised. While abandoned during the Revolution and First Empire, it returned briefly during the Second Empire only to meet its end with the Revolution of 1830.
