(x) Efficiency Decoration, E.II.R., Australia, the reverse inscribed '410118 Lt. Col. D. R. Heinrich', nearly extremely fine

Denis Reginald Heinrich was born at Gawler, South Australia on 12 October 1925 and worked as a welder on the South Australia Railways prior to enlisting in the Citizen Military Forces on 11 August 1948. Transferring to the Royal Australian Armoured Corps on 12 February 1949 he was commissioned Lieutenant with the 3/9th South Australian Mounted Rifles on 25 May 1951.

Further promoted Captain on 11 January 1956 and Major on 19 November 1957 Heinrich joined the Central Command Officers and Staff Group in 1958. Advanced Lieutenant-Colonel in November 1961 and was awarded to Efficiency Decoration on 9 January 1964. He notably undertook a training visit in South Vietnam from 19 August-3 September 1968. Finally he was placed on the retired list on 12 October 1972.
