Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Victoria Medal, silver issue, by Spink (Dr. Eric H. Hansen 1954), good very fine

Eric H. Hansen was born in 1903 in Denmark and was a Licencee Clerk for the American S.P.C.A. in New York from 1924. Latterly President of the Missouri Branch, he would ultimately be President of the American Association. Hansen went on to be co-founder of the International Society for the Protection of Animals. He died in 1956, having been duly rewarded by numerous related societies.
