British War Medal 1914-20 (Lieut. G. W. Joblin); Defence Medal 1939-45, good very fine (2)

George William Joblin was born in July 1892 and with the outbreak of the Great War served in the Hampshire Regiment (No. 2857 & 241221), before being commissioned Lieutenant into the Indian Army Reserve of Officers (single BWM only). Having had his Medal issued to Gore, New Milton, Hampshire, by 1939 he was an Advertising Manager at an Engineers Works and lived at 11 Godalming Avenue, Sutton, Surrey. Joblin served as an Air Raid Warden during the Second World War and the Blitz.
