British War and Victory Medals (205589 C. Q. M. Sjt. R. Warren. R.E.), good very fine, with his brass Prisoner of War identity bracelet, this with Japanese characters and impressed 'TSINGTAO 66727' (Lot)

Robert Warren served in the Inland Water Transport section, Royal Engineers during the Great War (Pair only) and then had the misfortune to be taken as a Civilian Internee by the Japanese at Tsingtao during the Second World War. An individual with the name 'R. L. Warren' is listed with the Chinese Maritime Customs as having worked at Tsingtao during the 1930s but it is unclear if they are one and the same.
