1914-15 Star (Pte. H. McKnight 4th Infantry); British War and bi-lingual Victory Medals (Pte. H. C. McKnight. 10th S. A. I.), good very fine (3)

William Bertie Doyle enlisted on 4 September 1915 with the 5th Regiment of the South African Mounted Rifles. Transferring to 'B' Company of the South African Infantry he was wounded in 1917 and returned to South Africa, being discharged as a result of his wounds not long later; sold together with typed research.
