Austin John Banner was born in 1895 at Edinburgh, the son of John Auld Banner. Enlisting in the 4th Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers he served with them at Gallipoli and later transferred to the Royal Army Service corps on 13 December 1916. He was discharged on 15 March 1919 and died at Edinburgh in 1970; sold together with copied research.
