1914 Star with silver rosette (MS-1661 Pte. J.H. Henning. A.S.C.), very fine

John Henry Henning was a 44-year-old motor lorry driver from Norwood, Surrey when he enlisted in the Army Service Corps on 12 August 1914. He embarked with the B.E.F. for France on 23 August 1914, spending the duration of the war in France before being demobilised in 1919 with the rank of Sergeant.
