India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Umbeyla (3323 G Reeves H. Ms. 1st Bn. 7th Regt.), contact wear and edge wear, otherwise very fine

George Reeves attested with the Royal Fusiliers on 17 April 1854 and soon after was posted to the Crimea for a year, where he saw action at the Battle of Sebastopol. Reeves was then stationed in the East Indies where he remained for over seven years. He was discharged at his own request on 31 October 1864 upon the termination of his limited period of engagement; sold together with copied discharge papers, which confirm his entitlement to this medal and clasp.
