(x) Military General Service Medal 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Corunna (A. Simm, R. Arty Drivers), sometime cleaned, light edge bruise, very fine

During the retreat to and Battle of Corunna the Royal Artillery Drivers undertook the crucial role of transporting the British Artillery through the difficult mountain passes. They succeeded in bringing the guns through and after a successful action at Corunna the British escaped annihilation, their victory marred only by the death of their commander Sir John Moore.
