A large archive of European press photographs (100s) relating to World War II including c.100 depicting Japanese and Chinese soldiers with photographs of warzones, a range of press and police photographs of Nazi spies in Argentina, c.40 showing Italian military officials, a large range covering King George VI's official military visit to the armed forces, c.30 showing Gdynia, Poland, c.30 relating to President Roosevelt, c.50 covering the lives of women and children, images of destruction in Britain including images of the 1st mobile Post Office, c.10 of Nazi or communist forces, c.50 relating to Truman, and much more. As is the case with working press images, the frames have been edited, cropped or marked. A most interesting group. A superb lot with a great deal of scope for research.
