1924-64, an archive of Italian press photographs relating to sports including 1924-61 French football; 1926-51 tennis featuring John Borotra in his famous berret; 1928-48 Olympic Games; 1929-62 English football, most Cup tournaments featuring teams such as Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Nottingham Forrest, Portsmouth, Arsenal, Sunderland; 1926-36 Golf with many of Percy Allis; a large number covering Argentinian football between 1953-64; 1940s-50s Chess selection focusing on Raul Capablanca with many images of training and international fixtures. As is the case with working press images, the frames have been edited, cropped or marked. A most interesting group.
