c1806 Enamel circular box with a side facing portrait titled "CHAS. Js. FOX" (1749-1806), prominent British Whig politician and statesman, who served as Foreign Secretary, Lord Commissioner of the Treasury and Admiralty, Leader of the House of Commons at the time of his death. Supported the American Patriots at the time of the Revolution, and agreed with the French Revolution; was a prominent opponent of King George III. Buried in Westminster Abbey. A rare commemorative box (4cm diameter x2cm)
