Battle of Waterloo
1815 Watercolour by an unidentified hand with an ink description on the reverse of "so destructive and decisive a battle...this is as it appears about a week after the battle. The farm house was seized by the French to aid their attack on St Jean and was a seat of great slaughter. The Telegraph is where Buonaparte was stationed during the engagement. Already the Farm House is repaired and used (as) an inn" (11x17.5cm)
