PERCVTE ME NE DICATVR QVOD A FEMINA INTERFECTVS SIM • IVDIC • C • 9 •, a woman in a besieged tower casts stones down on the enemy, DOMINVS TRADIDIT EVM IN MANVS FOEMINAE • IVDITH • KVI • C on edge, 43mm, 29.91g (Eimer 422; MI ii 289/98; van Loon V, 39), some contact marks and excess metal to obverse edge at 6 o'clock, otherwise with a pleasing ochre to the edges of devices and peripheries, lustrous, extremely fine, in NGC holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #8222378-014)

One object of the medallist is to satirize the French king, for his having been defeated by Anne, who is upon this medal compared to Judith, who destroyed Holofernes. If Louis XIV was 'great', Anne was 'Greater', as her army had everywhere proved victorious over him.
