Provenance

The Craven Collection of British Historical Medals

Two dies were made for the reverse and can be easily recognised by the absence of the troops on one of them. This medal commemorates the chief successes of Marlborough during the campaign of 1703 which was accomplished with very little loss of life. Bonn was the first place to fall and was followed by that of Huy 15-26 August and Limbourg 16-27 September.
