1938 (Feb.) set of seven decorative approval cards each headed "Burma Postage Stamps, Proposed Design for [...]", noted "Submitted for Approval", signed at foot by Ernest Archibal "Offg. Artist Engraver" and RCG Chapman, Capt. RE, "Offg. Master, Security Printing, India.", and bearing perforated lithographic essays on watermark paper for the 1938-40 KGVI definitive issue.

Three pages headed "proposed design for rupee series" bearing 1r., 2r., 5r. and 10r. blocks of four, each page showing a different design, one in adopted Peacock design, two of which are unadopted.

Two pages headed "proposed design for three pies, six pies and nine pies", one in adopted Chinthes design, the other in an unadopted design.

Two pages headed "proposed design for one anna, two annas and four annas", one in adopted Nagas design, the other in unadopted design depicting elephants.
