1900 (Feb.) stampless envelope with patriotic inscription under the flap, "we are/proud of you boys/safe return home again." posted to Prince Albert, Ontario en route at San Vincente, bearing "paquebot/liverpool" c.d.s. (18.2) and Paid Liverpool Packet c.d.s., with straight-line "missent-to" Prince Albert Sask. c.d.s. (9.3) with the arrival c.d.s. on the reverse. Fine. There are thought to be only two of these patriotic envelopes recorded. Ex Hart and Wannerton. Photo

Note: Some of this Battalion were transported on the S.S. 'Laurentian'; when it reached San Vincente the cruiser H.M.S. 'Cambrian' was in port and they agreed to take the mail and pass to the first mail steamer going north
