1900 (8 Nov.) printed Boer Railway Co envelope to Aylmer (East) bearing Natal 1d. tied by Army P.O. 55 (Pretoria) c.d.s. and, on the reverse, a superb strike of the rare "d battery/royal canadian artillery" with manuscript "Pretoria 7/11/00", Ottawa transit (15.12) and indistinct squared circle. Only two examples of the Battery oval have been recorded. Photo
