1871 (30 Mar.) entire ex the Travis correspondence to Grimsby, Lincolnshire, showing fine "falkland/paid./islands" Black Frank, underlined to emphasise pre-payment, with F.1 despatch and London Paid d.s. (16.5) in red alongside, endorsed "post paid" at lower-left, the reverse with Grimsby arrival d.s (16.5). Carried on the "Foam" to Montevideo, then on the "La Plata" to Southampton; No. 3/71 in the Barnes census and No. 2 in the Travis listing. B.P.A. Certificate (1984). Very fine and rare. Photo.
