(first type without "nsw" at foot), marked at left "Registered/168", showing "R" in oval and, on reverse, Sydney (2.8), London and arrival datestamps. Illustrated by Collas & Breckon at p25. The rate was 2½d UPU foreign letter plus 3d registration fee (the 2d concessional British Empire letter rate was not extended to Great Britain until 1.4.1905). Photo
