Southern Rhodesia, British Administration, £10, Salisbury, 10th March 1954, serial number E/3 047087, sign. Pechey & Grafftey-Smith, brown and green on multicolour underprint, Queen Elizabeth II at right. Charming imagery of nature dominates both sides of the note, underscoring the region's magnificent landscape and wildlife. The front of the note features a beautiful illustration of a lion resting in the shade of a tree that vertically borders the note's left margin. The note's reverse depicts an equally beautiful illustration of a family of elephants emerging from the trees into a clearing of long grass, with foliage surrounding the picture's ornate border.
