1942 (May) "Peacock" Overprints
Overprinted at Henzada - S.G. Type 6

Much controversy surrounds this overprint. It has been de-listed by Gibbons and Scott. Articles have been written that show that this overprint was only used on postal stationery and that these stamps were created in 1945, thus are bogus. Others have shown blocks that have both Type 5 and Type 6 se-tenant - therefore may have been printed in 1942. The overprint has a much more extended basal arc reaching the shoulders of the peacock and was applied one at a time, therefore there are no sub-types.
