1942 (May) "Peacock" Overprints
Overprinted at Henzada - S.G. Type 5

On Postage Stamps of George VI
6p., 1a. (typo), 2a. and 4a., each in a block of four, the left vertical pair in 2a. block showing prominent pin flaw, fine used. S.G. J27, J29, J31, J32, £1,108

Note: The 2a. block with pin flaws is a rare and desirable item. After the war the Henzada peacock was re-used as there was a need for postage. The reprinting took place as sixteen across the sheet as opposed to eight. This pin flaw therefore occurred on stamp 8 of the left side and this block comes from columns 8 and 9.
