1840-KGVI, a predominantly used collection in a Windsor album and loose, including 1840 Mulready envelope mint and used, two used lettersheets 1d. black used (13), seven off cover, five on piece each showing d.s., one tied to 1840 (9 Aug.) envelope, and horizontal pair, 1840 two pence blue (3), 1841-53 1d. red-brown, many used singles and apparently unused pair (faults), 1841 2d. blue with used strip of five (faults), 1847-54 embossed 1/- with clear margins and 6d. touched at foot, Surface Printed range with 1855-57 4d. (11) on a range of papers and watermarks, 6d. (4) and 1/- (2), 1862-64 values to 6d. (3), 1865-67 4d., all Plates, 1867-80 4d., all Plates, 6d. with hyphen (2) and without hyphen (3), 9d. (5) with unused single, 10d., 1/- (4), 2/- blue (2), both wing marginal, one with tear, 1883-84 2/6d. (5) and horizontal strip of three, 5/- (3) and 10/- (3), 1883 or 84 set to 1/- with duplicate less 1/-, 1887-92 Jubilee set to £1 with duplicate £1; also a range of QV envelopes, some registered including 1841 2d. strip of three and 1841-53
singles tied to envelope registered from Oxford to London, 1854 2d. and 1855-57 6d. tied to envelope registered from Skipton to Windermere, Perf. 1d. red and 1855-57 6d. on envelope registered from Skipton to Wapping, 1870-74 1½d. and 1865-67 1/- tied to envelope from London via Brindisi and Germany to Aden, redirected to London. Mixed condition though a valuable, old time collection, well worth careful attention.
