1857 (5 Aug.) entire letter from Liverpool to New York bearing 1856-58 1d. red-brown (3 singles) alongside 1/- green block of four, all tied by '466' barred numerals, the 1/- block with additional "paid" arched handstamp in red; the face marked "20/cents" and the reverse with Liverpool despatch d.s.; Adhesives with some faults and entire with minor paper loss, nevertheless a striking franking.
