6d. dull lilac cut square, just touching outer frame line at foot, alongside 1855-57 4d. bright carmine, both tied by '320' barred numeral of Tain to 1855 (25 Aug.) envelope to Piedmont, Italy, via France with "pd" marking and French transit marking on face, the latter additionally tying the 6d.; the reverse with Tain d.s. in green, London, Torino and arrival d.s.
