1/- green (Die 2) horizontal pair, cut square with mostly large margins all round, just skimming the outer frame line at lower right, overprinted with the "Frank Ives Scudamore / Chief Examiner" handstamp; vertical fold between impressions, affecting just the outer frame line of the right hand stamp, small corner bend at lower left and light wrinkling elsewhere, nevertheless a major Great Britain rarity, this being the only pair in private hands, only one other pair is known which is held in the Phillips Collection at the National Postal Museum.
