1841-57, a most interesting collection displaying a range of cancellations used in combination including, on cover: '131' numeral and Leith c.d.s.; London district numeral and straight line "Cornhill"; London Inland Office '20' and "t.p.Teddington" in blue; London district numeral '56' and London shield type in red; Bridgewater town datestamp and Maltese Cross; Louth town datestamp and Maltese Cross; indistinct barred numeral, town datestamp and handstruck '1'; "wallingford" town datestamp and '832' barred numeral; "torquay" datestamp in blue and '805' barred numeral; "lymington" and barred numeral; Motram Penny Post and Maltese Cross; Upton Penny Post and Maltese Cross. Also a number off cover or on piece including: "leeds" town datestamp in blue and London Inland '17'; "lymington" town datestamp and '653' barred numeral; "llangollen" town datestamp in green and '509' barred numeral; "chesington" boxed handstamp and Maltese Cross; "oldbury" straight line and '75' barred numeral; blue Maltese Cross and unidentified boxed handstamp; Blue Maltese Cross and "higham ferrers" town datestamp; and, most unusually, number '4' in Maltese Cross and ordinary Maltese Cross. Mixed condition though a very unusual group.
