A25, 1840 (14 May) addressed to Birmingham and cancelled by a neat brownish red Maltese Cross with a fine strike of undated "lane delph" open-circle postmark in lower corner, the reverse with Newcastle under Line c.d.s.; some creasing and wrinkling. A good early cover and from a scarce Post Office in Fenton
