1868, envelope to Clomnel, franked 1d. red, Plate 180 (perforations trimmed), addressed to Miss A. de la Poer and with a superbly executed pen and ink illustration of two young ladies by Edith Osborne (later Lady Blake); fine. A stunning illustrated envelope which was the subject of an article "An Irish Detective Story" by John Scott FRPSL published in the London Philatelist in December 2024. Photo.
