1829 (27 Oct.) entire letter from Lerwick to Edinburgh with manuscript charge mark "3/0½" (double letter ship rate 1/4d., Peterhead to Edinburgh 1/8d. and wheel tax ½d.), the reverse with fine "ship letter/peterhead" (S.1a). Fine and very rare. Photo.

Notes: Robertson illustrates an 1827 entire (Pg. E.226/A), this entire sold as lot 217 in Stone which was then believed to be the only recorded example.
