Fourth Printing
Head Die III, Frame Die II [15], blue and red cut square with good to large margins all round showing a portion of guide line at upper right, and minor doubling of frame transfer at 10 o'clock, lightly cancelled by Type 7 hexagonal cancel which leaves the variety entirely visible. A very fine example of this most unusual variety, believed to be the only known Fourth Printing with any doubling of the frame and thus unique. B.P.A. Certificate (2025). S.G. 23var. Photo.
Notes: The only 4a. stamps showing any doubling of the frame come from the Second and Fourth Printings. There are just two known from the Second Printing, one of which - cut to shape - was offered in Magnolia Part III. This is the only known stamp from the Fourth Printing showing any doubling of the frame.
