Note: The forger had taken a 1903 East Africa and Uganda Protectorate 2r. violet and dull violet, bleached out all the design except the oval medallion with its head of King Edward VII, then engraved a plate bearing the scroll-work and frame which encircle the medallion.

The perforation and watermark are authentic. The colours are a good reproduction.
