1863 (8 Mar.) entire letter to Hamburg, marked "via Trieste", bearing 1856 8a. carmine clearly tied by fine "B/172" obliterator, showing red crayon "6" and "1/-" and blue ink "6" and handstruck "6" with, on reverse, "singapore/p.o." double-ring d.s. in red with month and year inverted, and arrival datestamps (13.4). A neat and attractive franking, and one of only five De La Rue frankings to Germany we record. Photo
