John Murray, Grenadier Guards, British Expedition, Crimea", marked "Via Alexandria", bearing 1854 4a. blue and red 4th printing pair with clear to good margins, cancelled by diamond of hollow dots and showing, on reverse, Alexandria double-arc d.s. (21.8) in blue. One of three recorded covers from the Murray correspondence to the Crimea of which one bears a strip of four 2a., and the other two 4a.
