1884 2a. dull blue with trial or essay overprint showing the words "puttialla state" more curved, and "state" 10mm. long, the normal measuring 9mm; large part original gum with slight crease and a few toned perfs. at top, otherwise fine and a rare stamp believed to be one of four known examples, one of which is in the Royal collection.
