1820s-40s, a small group of pre-stamp mail (24) including Ship Letter boxed types (2), Calcutta Ship Letter boxed handstamps (3), circular g.p.o. datestamps (7), 1833 entire letter from Landour to Dum Dum showing scarce "landour/Pt. Pd." handstamp on reverse, four entires with "bureau de pondicherry" d.s., all to Bordeaux, 1821 (26 April) entire from Calcutta to London with superb "calcutta/general post office" double ring d.s. with manuscript date and boxed "india letter/deal, 1819 (21 April) entire letter from Calcutta to London with "calcutta/post not paid" d.s. with manuscript date and boxed "india letter/deal" and 1820 (27 Aug.) entire letter from Madras to Hungerford with "madras/ship letter/gpo" 01.09.20 d.s., "Post Paid/Bangalore" handstamp and boxed "india letter/deal" handstamp, also undated entire letter from the Bishop of Calcutta to the Chaplain of Kabul with R.P.S. Certificate (2011). An interesting group.
